Welcome to Irma The Village of Irma is a friendly community of 477 (2021 Census) people 90 minutes East of Edmonton and 20 minutes West of Wainwright. Our motto is “Looking to the Future” as a growing community. We have a world class ball area that has held National events,
Community Events Centre
The recently reconstructed Irma School includes a large 6,000 sq. ft. Community Centre Hall available for events, meetings and other performances. A large kitchen with coolers, fridges, industrial dishwasher, stoves and microwaves is part of the complex. Meeting/Banquet tables and chairs and covering tarps are available for use as well.
Waste Collection Services
The Village of Irma has contracted GFL Environmental as it’s waste removal service provider. Each Residential Property has one cart that is required for garbage pickup. Your carts have individual serial numbers associated with your address. If your cart is missing or needs repair, please contact the Village office at
