Baseball is a big thing in Irma

The Irma Recreation area Ball Diamonds feature shale infields, player dugouts, fenced diamonds, lights on one diamond for evening play and plenty of spectator seating area.

From May to August a very competitive group of fastball and baseball players in ages ranging from young to old can be found frequenting these grounds sometimes from early morning until darkness no longer allows for competition.

Teams in all age groups have competed in Provincial and National competitions.

The Irma Tiger Men’s team recently won the Intermediate “B” Men’s provincial championships in 2023.
