Camping

The Village of Irma boasts a large campground facility that comes equipped with 51 Camping sites.  30 of which are full-service lots.  There is also an overflow area.

Location: Turn off of Highway 881 on to 53 avenue and you will see the campground is nestled at the north end of the village, right next to the Irma ball diamonds, the curling rink and hockey arena.

There are several picnic tables for travelers to enjoy a lunch or supper cooked over a fire pit.

The Irma Campground is run by the Irma and Area Recreation Board, OPENING May 1st and CLOSING September 30th (Depending on the Weather).

We practice a first come first serve rule for bookings. We do not take reservations as we do not have a full-time caretaker.  As soon as a site is paid for it is considered occupied (RV parked or not).  We have part-time caretakers that will check daily for payments and collect where needed.  They will place an occupied sign over the site number when they receive payment.  To avoid confusion during busy weekends, we ask that you park “something” on the site until the caretakers have had the opportunity to mark the signage as occupied or until you can park your Camper.

Self serve envelopes are available on site for prices and money deposits. CASH and Cheque are the preferred method of payment. We do accept credit cards at the Village office for a 3% fee (note we are not open weekends) and e-transfer is also accepted at camping@irma.ca.  You will need to put your confirmation number on your envelope.

Amenities:

  • Shower house and washrooms available on site.
  • There is an RV dumping station and water fill available. If this is busy the Village has another RV cleanout located across Highway 14 at the South end of Main Street.

Rules:

  • No loud music, no cannabis and no parties. Please clean your site afterwards and dispose of the garbage safely and securely in a garbage disposal unit at the campsite.
  • Be considerate and respectful of other campers if you have pets. Please clean up after them and keep them leashed and contained to your site.  Dogs are not allowed in the ball park grounds and the entrances have signage indicating off limit areas. Dogs are allowed in the camping area and the large parking area.

The Irma Golf Course also has a small semi-serviced campground along the East end of town on 53 Avenue as well.  They take reservations and can be contacted at 780-754-2184 after April 15th, e-mailed at irmagolfcourse@gmail.com or leave a message on the Irma Golf Course Facebook page here.
