Moose Jaw Warriors Jagger Firkus, from Irma, Alberta, added to 2023 World Junior’s Team Canada.
Jagger was selected in the second round, 35th overall by the Seattle Kracken in the National Hockey League Draft in July 2022.
He is now the second player on the Team Canada roster from Irma! Our Village has a population of roughly 520 people and two local guys who grew up and started their hockey careers here are on the 2023 World Junior’s Team Canada. I would bet there are not many small Villages that can say that!
