Updates 2021 + Main Street Construction Work

  • Main Street Water and Sewer Infrastructure upgrades 2021 to 2023. All Business owners and residents on 50th Street please take note and plan ahead. Questions contact the office. Anticipated surveying will start early March 2021. Now that Phase 1 of this project is going ahead please plan ahead as work will take place on the main street during 2022 that will involve underground work. ⌚️⏰‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍A update letter was mailed to business owners and residents on 50th Street March 2-2021: scope and timeline of work: mostly surveying work in 2021; mostly construction work in 2022 and possibly street and sidewalk furniture updates in 2023.

  • PLEASE do NOT visit the municipal office even if Provincial restrictions are lifted or when we proceed to Step 2, 3 or 4 - conduct municipal business through virtual means.  Office staff who are essential workers and has families cannot account for your whereabouts even if you state otherwise.  We really appreciate your understanding.  It is unlikely that any social change should be expected in 2021 or 2022 so therefore prevention is much better than cure.
  • As per the Provincial Health Regulations - the municipal office remains closed for the public and will remain so even if restrictions are lifted.  If you really have to see us PLEASE phone the office at 780-354-3665 and make an appointment.  You will not be allowed to enter the office without wearing a MASK.
  • You can email us at anytime at info@irma.ca and make payments through Interac (email) to the same email.
  • Avoid in person meetings and wear a mask when sign posted.
  • Wash your hands regularly and maintain social distancing.
  • Maintain healthy mental (virtual) contact and stay active and reach out for support if you need it (cao@irma.ca)
  • The Village now accept Interac (email) payments for all vendors, residents and ratepayers.
  • Christmas Light Up Competition will be up and running in Irma around November 2021.
